Are people still getting fooled by this guy? Are you telling me after Dink Doink and Cryptozoo people still lost money trusting him? After both Prime and Lunchly failed due to being horrible for kids? These are genuine questions asked with such a level of sarcasm that I didn’t think was needed. So how did we get here.
First, what is the Pikachu Illustrator Card? Why is it special? Why would anyone pay 5.3 million for it (I can’t answer this one I can only dream I had that much money)? The Pikachu Illustrator Card is one of the rarest Pokemon Cards ever it was never released as part of a pack. Illustrator was a prize during an art contest and due to this the rarity eventually climbed up. Think of Illustrator like original Superman Comics or old baseball cards, extremely rare and hard to find. Now what made the card Logan has a scam.
This has really nothing to do with Pokemon or the card rather Logan’s new company (new way of stealing thousands from people), Liquid Marketplace. Liquid Marketplace was a place people could co own rare collectibles. People could pay money to own parts of certain collectibles. The centerpiece and largest draw to the site: PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator Card provided by the company’s co founder Logan Paul. Logan obtained this card at an auction for $5.3 million. After advertising the card during his fights he launched Liquid Marketplace and people began buying. After awhile Logan says he repurchased the card for $250,000 and that was supposed to be refunded to the people who bought it. Let it be noted people can’t actually pull their money or any money for that matter. Further, no vote or community talk ever happened and now Logan walks away with the card and no one knows what happened to the people who bought money.
I know people will call me cruel for this, but if you fell for this after the first two times Logan scammed people than I have no pity for you. This isn’t an accident, it isn’t Logan getting unlucky with the people he works with, this is intentional. Logan at this point is purposefully scamming people this is a sick pattern that a literal millionaire uses his wealth to scam everyone else. He claims its mistakes, well the average persons mistakes don’t cost peoples life savings, at that point it isn’t a mistake. He also never paid back for the first 2 scams either despite bragging how much he made off PRIME, WWE, and Youtube.
