I am going to warn everyone now: this post will be purposely vauge and use a lot of generalization. People were able to find Mike and Dave’s real names, homes and Dave’s workplace. I am uncomfortable even saying that much I do not condone anything Dave has done and since this situation started on the internet I hope to keep it limited to the internet. Mike seems to be an innocent bystander in all of this so will keep this talking about only what Dave has done since the entirety of last week.

Dave seemed to try and pass himself off as Mike while playing Minecraft. Unfortunately for Dave, people noticed really quickly who was playing. Now, don’t misunderstand Mike is a young child but he does know how to play Minecraft whoever was playing at the time doesn’t play regularly or seemingly ever. When the only things in the title of the game don’t show up from someone who has put several hours into a game something is off. So when people didn’t buy this was Mike they changed the title from “My Dad Let Me Play A Little” to the same title, but with an added “But This Is Dave Playing”. People were mad that he would try and garner sympathy in this way. Now even though Dave supposedly works in marketing he didn’t realize how closely people were watching.

As stated Mike is a 9 year old boy and people found the area they live in at some point a comment appeared on the video from Mighty Mike Plays. That seems normal till you realize the comment was left on a Wednesday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm depending on time zone which would mean Mike should be at school and before you say well what about phones? Mike’s family is not hurting for money so Mike could have one and send the comment while there. I would argue the phone would be lost or confiscated if he was using it during class. Even if it wasn’t if Mike is using the phone that much it would be responcible to take it away.

So Dave’s job is to lie to you, but it seems clear that if this marketing ploy was trying to get a family that are richer and greedier than the people they were asking for money. Now they are even trying to garner sympathy by saying they don’t want money and to donate to charity in Technoblades honor leaving out that trying to scam everyone leaves you with no honor and this was another ploy and sort of disrespectful towards Technoblade, his family, and his fans. In my opinion the timeline of events went something like this:

• Mike started the MightyMikePlays Youtube Channel. The channel wasn’t monotized and didn’t make money.

• Dave bought Youtube ads

• Somehow despite an alleged $118,000 spent without alerting Fraud Protection from the bank and which the screenshot really doesn’t prove anymore given Dave works in marketing and could have easily faked it or asked an experienced employee to do it.

• Dave tries to ask people to help and throws together an AI shop despite working in marketing and in a job like that should know how people feel about AI with the most overpriced T shirts in the world.

• People call him out for the suspicious nature and he threatens legal action despite supposedly having no money and needing $118,000 in 30 days. Apperantly, rather than courts and a payment plan they said give the money back. Even though he could in theory pay that figure now with no issues.

• When legal action failed and people kept pointing things out Dave decided to disrespect Technoblade and a charity that was created to honor him.

As I said previously please keep this to the internet. The personal information is not good to be out there and hold them accountable if you must, but please don’t do anything outside of the Youtube Channel or twitter/x. I also do not condone death threats or any manner of insults. To be clear this has been a scam from the start, but there are real people involved and I believe it will accomplish nothing to endanger or harm their family or workplace.
